I wasn't sure where Castle was going to go but with the last episode it started to make sense.

I've also been wondering why the PiP forum has disappeared on me. It's magic!

It's strange. I noticed the other day that I wasn't getting updates in the new posts thing from PiP anymore so I looked and couldn't find it

no clue. If I pissed Ben off I would at least hope to hear what I did.

It might be swine flu... hmm.

On another note I'm contemplating putting together a guide to curves which covers a bit on understanding the histogram. So few people know how to use curves and I think that's too bad.

I like this idea. I would really like some guidance on curves. I have used curves adjustments but it was very much like a caveman using a pc

It's pretty much my most used adjustment, adjusting the curves brings back contrast and improves the appearance of colors/saturation of an image (although in some cases you need to pull saturation down after working the curves). It's easy to both reproduce the 'pop' the camera loses or further enhance the image if you use the curves effectively.

If you have any requests danm let me know. I've been thinking about doing something like this for my site for a while as well.

I need to pick a few good example photos for the curves treatment and then figure out how much really needs to be said while keeping myself from wanting to get too technical.

Danm, I may ask you for a favor and see if you can look at this two-parter I'm putting together on curves & histograms for feedback before I put it up. I'm going to check with some other people for review too.

Today is "bring something really special to you" day in my son's class and we forgot to check the calendar on the fridge this morning. Now I have to go back up there and take his favorite little stuffed animal dog.

    how about just any mom?

I mean yeah, get help when you're stressed/need it, and get help to go to work if you have to, but having people care for your kid so you can go "out" is just Bull**** IMHO. I mean a night here a night there fine, but if you're a pregorz teenager/mom living at home? No way in hell.

not sure, how'd she get pregnant? Was she on the pill? Were they using condoms? I have some sympathy if you were using protection, but ZERO if you weren't. I "doubled up" until I was married (condoms and the pill, luckily they were all on the pill), then we went to just the pill figuring if something happened it was meant to be.
