Rain, some wind but nothing bad. They're saying 20 on the coast here and 30 on BI right now. Nantucket will get hurricane strength gusts though.

If it isn't blowing 75, it's no hurricane!!!!

After going out to dinner tonight, I stopped at the Starbucks in East Greenwich for a coffee. They had a sign on the door "In order to ensure our partners arrive home safely with the coming hurricane we will be closing for the day at 6pm". You've got to be ****ing kidding me. It was 7:45 and there was barley a breeze or a drizzle. Unless these ****ers live on Block Island I'm pretty sure they were going to make it home OK.

yeah, sluff's sails are all INSIDE the boat, it's bow into it's spot and it's chained to the fence. avalanche is in a slip in wickford (super protected from the NW). My parents were thinking of going up the hudson (they've done it before) but decided not to.

3:55pm Friday to PVD.

and Dave, the other Dave (Simms) and I shot the back side of the storm this AM. Blue sky overhead.

Then in Boston next sun night, mon and tues depending when I can get aflight to buffalo
