Default  Canon 5D Classic Vs 30D

Just wondering if anyone had a comparison between the two.. I know one is a FF other is a crop.. but they both seem to perform "well" up to 1600 ISO. Just wondering if its worth an upgrade / how much is it worth etc.

    Thanks

from an iso and dof standpoint, its a noticeable difference, everything else is pretty much identical.

noticeable difference? are you saying the 5D is cleaner in terms of high ISO? What about DoF? it should be... bigger?

I've owned and shot with both extensively. The 5D classic is the superior camera by a good margin.

I've got a 40d and 5d at my disposal if you're looking for something specific.

If you told me you'd have to take one from me, I'd hand you the 40d in an instant.

the 5D will have at least a stop cleaner high ISOs. Basically great 1600, 3200 in a pinch. The 5D will have LESS DOF.

Couldn't agree more on that to you. When you compare the two 5D will be something that I would opt for, as it is capable of providing some better and cleaner snaps as compared to that of 30D. Though, the skills and the circumstances would be some thing that should be taken into account.

The 5D is also sharper and has more resolution.
