The Monthly Challenge:
The purpose of this is to get everyone out shooting at least once each Month! The goal is not to determine a Winner or Loser, but to Improve the quality, feel, and style of your Photography as a whole. This is a great way to see what others think/ feel/ see within a common topic. This is also a means to allow each photographer to branch out and possibly shoot something different than their normal routine.
How it Works:
A Theme for each month will be posted, The winner from the previous month gets to choose the theme. The Winning photo will be used in the Annual NSOP Calendar. The theme will be broad and open to interpretation. Within each month, The Challenge Assistance Thread will have sub-themes related to the Monthly Theme. Feel free to post as many photos within Homework to get CC and feedback before you enter the challenge, Choose wisely however once you make your selection, your stuck with it!
Entries:
ONE photo may be entered by each member. The photo MAY NOT be changed once entered. Entries may be posted between the 1st of the Month up to and including the end of the month. At the end of the month a Voting Poll will be opened. Please make sure you have a Theme in mind when you post your entry. Winners will decide the Theme for following month. CC and comments from other members is encouraged in producing your final entry. However Please have the final entry be your original work(this includes PP). The goal is to improve yourself, having another member tweak your photo will only hurt you in the long run.

A Voting Poll will appear the end of the month. All Users may vote for ONE photo that they feel best reflects the Monthly topic.
Content:
Themes are to be broad, They are intended to be open to interpretation, therefore what one person sees fitting, others may not. There are no right and wrong entries here. With that in mind please keep ALL ENTRIES SFW! Therefore, No nudes will be allows in this area. Please keep Nudes in the appropriate forum and abide by the proper rules accordingly.
Comments and Critique:
All Final entries are to be open to CC in the CHALLENGE EVALUATION THREAD! - One Per Month -Stickied.
Please be respectful to all Photographers when critiquing their work. The goal is to help improve the photographer. So please be mindful of peoples feelings.
Assistance:
The evaluation thread is open, that being said you may post up several photos that you are having trouble with, in any respect. There you can get some feedback and pointers before posting your final entry. There will be no outside editing allowed here. The goal is to improve yourself, therefore if someone else manipulates the photo for you. All knowledge is lost. Please keep CC in line with the above section guidelines.

Congrats, You have Won! Please PM me your Theme for the following month so that Next months Theme will begin. If you do not give me a Theme by the 1st, I will choose a replacement Theme. If the theme is too specified, it will be broadened within the same genre.
Overview of Monthly Challenge Rules are as follows:
- All Photograph entries MUST be taken within the Month/ Year of the Challenge.
- Photographs submitted MUST be ORIGINAL work by the Submitter.
- ONLY ONE Photograph may be entered by the participant, Once entered it may not be changed.
- All Themes are open to interpretation (Within reason, inappropriate, crude content will be removed)
- All photographs may be altered in any way seen fit by the photographer.
- The following EXIF data MUST be posted with entry : Camera Body, ISO, shutter, F-Stop, Camera Mode, Date/ Time, PP Software Used if applicable.
- All Participants MUST have a Theme in mind for the following month.
- No nudity, illegal activity, implied illegal activity, or anything else that would normally not be allowed in this forum should be posted. (Nudity belongs in the "Nudes" Section this is a SFW area)
-The Challenge thread is for posting photos ONLY, please no discussion of photos within the main thread. Have questions, comments, concerns? Please post them in the Co-responding Threads.
Everyone is encouraged to participate regardless of skill level. SLR is not Required! The Goal is to improve yourself as a photographer, this is NOT a competition, this is a challenge, The goal is to challenge yourself and keep moving forward!
