I should enter more shots. If you throw enough mud at the wall, it'll stick eventually, right?

I just entered one so far, but have more i can do.

I can put the piton's shot up there, and also a couple from my honeymoon.

Lots of them lately have looked very surreal though, and I don't have many that fit that bill.

Do you guys ever re-submit a photo you've previously submitted after the month, or is it one and out?

I haven't really put any in besides one, and I just did that one once. I should try some more.

    Congrats Shawn, btw.

The site says they are on auto pilot for a while. Probably won't get paid for a while either. I haven't yet.

    Exactly, who knows Right?

I would like to think they choose a group of photos, assigned them to certain days and wrote a script to grab each one and post it for it's respective day. I could be wrong though.

you think maybe the date format is screwy and they mean June 9th? Other countries sometimes write the date in a different order than what we're used to and it screws me up all the time.

And, I was pumped to see this... submitted the shot and an hour later it was up on the site!

    fixed.

I can not tell you how much fun the dragon was in the MINI. Sure, and Elise or Porsche would be faster, but I'm not that good of a driver, and the MINI handles insanely well anyway.

Today's shot, while beautiful, demonstrates what happens when you don't properly use your ND grad filter--there is no detail left in the closer mountains.

Ruins a majestic shot, IMO, and I'm generally pretty pro-grad ND.

This is one of my favorite ones from the trip, it was a wild place to see and photograph. I also managed to hit it under some really nice light filtering in through the tunnel and from behind me.

    Shot with a 5D + 17-40 L, 24mm, 3.2 s @ f/13.

i like tad's colors and the motion of the leaves in the water, but my eyes have no idea where to go. they just zoom all over the place. scott's has a nice path through the photo.

at least, that's what i think my subconscious is thinking ... i just like scott's better :-)

Basically this guy is stating it is not a double exposure merge, but then says static and dynamic exposure. It has to be a merge, right?

If his tracker was moving the camera, how would the mountains stay in focus and not blurred?

    Definitely strange.
