    Default  anybody know what the voltage out on the remote shutter jack is?  
      
      

    on a pentax k100d?

    i'm tinkering with some diy controller stuff, and I can't seem to find this info. I will check it with a multimeter if i have to

    nevermind, I'm just gonna use an otoisolator and the camera's voltage.

    Are you building a shutter release? If so, you don't need to worry about the voltage. All it is, is a basic on/off switch. You are just allowing the camera to complete the circuit to allow it to open or close the shutter. If you need help, let me know. I built one last year before I got the Shutter release from Pentax.
