Default  Gutter Gridspot for my SB-24

Got the idea on the strobist flickr group.
The Gutter attachment happens to fit right over the end of the Nikon SB-24 Speedlight.
I cut up 15 straws from Subway into 1'' pieces. I had leftovers.
I am going to paint the straws and Gutter attachment matte black.
All of the following shots were taken with the lights on in my Bedroom.

    Bare Flash

    With Gridspot

Stupid camera was on ISO1600. Yeah, the camera is stuoid, not me.

It can be found at home depot or any hardware store that sells rain gutters. I think it is a splicer with a male and female end so you can join two sections of gutter together.

So it basically turns your flash into a spotlight? Interesting...

Yeah, basically. It narrows the beam so there is minimal fall off.

Tonight I went out and bought one and used an old t-shirt I cut up and taped over the front. Now I have a flash diffuser that cost me a whole $2.00 Thanks for the idea.

you can also just use some cardboard bent into a box, but I like the gutter attachment idea, seems solid/more durable.
