OK, second assignment, first that's HOMEWORK!
The theme for this Assignment is: DOF!. I figured I'd pick a topic that has to do with my first tutorial... So the idea behind this weeks (2 weeks actually) assignment is to be more like homework and have everyone thinking about apertures while they're shooting. But here's the deal, you MUST shoot at least 2 shots, one with shallow DOF and one with deep DOF and they both must be of similar themes. I will however let you pick the theme... But the point is to go out thinking this way and to get 2 shots that go together, but are shot at much different apertures. If possible shoot at the widest and narrowest apertures you can but that's not necessary.
Guidelines (just to keep us all on track)
- Photo(s) must relate to the assignment (DOF) in some way. Creative relation to any theme is certainly allowed (and encouraged).
- Assignment has finished, but you may post your images if you like.
- Only photos that have been shot within the assignment date range are allowed.[/SIZE][/b]
- You must post AT LEAST 2 PICTURES, more if you like.
- No signup is required, participation is encouraged regardless of skill or equipment level (after all, its not the camera, it’s the photographer,)…we’re here to have fun.
- Photo size limit: 800px on the longest side
- Basically, photograph however you like and normally do…whatever photography is to you. As many (or few) bodies/lenses/formats//Post-processing as you’d like. Sticking to basic PP is encouraged, tho’.
- If you’d like, post brief but relevant photo information and note PP (if any) is done (*Free GIMP software*). Maintain EXIF data if possible.
- Keep comments on topic, constructive, and considerate.
- Have fun!
Thread format shamelessly cut and pasted from Satan's post. Thanks.

! I really need one of those eye one colorometers. I hope it's not the white balance because I shoot custom WB. As I look at them now I see what you mean. I just checked the backgrounds in PS and the R an B values are all at 255-6 while the G is around 248-9. User error in picking the true white in levels, I suppose.
