Now I'm just going to think you're hyperbolizing to make me feel better...

What can I say--we are a Honda family--I liked the WRX, but 30mpg from both cars on regular gas puts a smile on my face every day. That, and I never used >100hp on my commute in the WRX, and I stopped taking it for long drives as much, so it just kind of seemed like overkill. Very fun, pretty overkill, but overkill nonetheless.

Also, this is how I save up for my Cayman!

Yeah, I also have come to the realization a WRX is overkill. Driving a slow car fast (the MINI) is tons more fun than a fast car slow (WRX). My next car will be a hand me down MINI, and Nikki will get some other econo box (Fit, Rabbit, another MINI, ???). Some day I'll build a FFR as my next "fast" car, but otherwise I'm on the whole econobox kick like you. I just figure driving the WRX into the ground makes more sense than picking up something else at this point. Plus in the winter for ski season the WRX + Blizzaks is awesome. Sure the MINI with good snows would also be good, but not as good/fun.

And no I'm not blowing smoke up your ass. I'm liking you new shots, so loosen up.

Ahem...You will need at least 1 4-door car....Especially for Nikki. Trust me.

Yep, the clubman (or yeah, whatever the hell they end up calling it) has 4 doors. If we get another MINI, that would be it, but they're getting a bit too expensive. I'll have to see the pricing on it when it's available, and go see one IRL to see if they are big enough. Right now a 4 door TDI rabbit is both our favorites, but this is a few years out, so we'll see what the future has to offer.

I'm pretty annoyed that 2 days after this started all of our snow is gone and we've had record high temps for 2 days in a row.

I'm so sad! Yesterday when I was driving to work, I noticed steam rising off the ground near these trees in my neighborhood. I could tell that the frost on the grass was melting from the morning sun.

I was running late to work so I told myself I would get up early today and go get that shot! But for some reason, I couldn't capture it! To see the steam, the photo was too blown out. And to get the grass, you coudn't see the steam!!

    Any ideas?

I've seen exactly what you're talking about Chelsea, the only thing I can think is get up earlier when there is less ambient light to get the steam on a longer exposure. Think that'd work?

That's a good possibility because the sun was definitely shining straight on what I was shooting. If I go to bed early enough tonight, I may try that in the morning, ha ha.
