Just an idea- On these "mode" assigments we should all try and do something that really shows we thought about the variable involved. I know its not mentioned in the instructions, but Tv with something showing thought. I think it'd even be cooler if people told what they chose and why. It'll help others learn if we all explain our though process.

Are we talking about Tv on the camera? Because if we are, doesn't it stand for Time Value? Or is that just a Canon thing?

Well I just went out today and shot for the Av assignment...

Oh well. This was shot on 5/19. Only NSOP action. Its all about freezing (or flowing) the motion. This was shot at 1/500

Thanks, I did some cropping on this photo, but not much.

FWIW, Panning shots are the only thing I regularly use shutter priority for.

Man, I can never get enough of this sort of shot... I'm not far from Willow Springs, and my old boss races there on a semi-regular basis. We ought to get together there at some point (and maybe you can give me some pointers on this stuff too ).

Absolutely. I'm like 5 minutes from the track, so if you plan on being there, let me know. I'll post something in the L.A. meet thread next time I plan on going.

Is using bulb OK for this one? Not technically shutter priority but I did shoot with the shutter speed in mind.

yes, it is. But only if you're using it to get past the 30 second limit. But yeah, that's the whole point of bulb, it's Tv for when you need more than the 30 seconds so why not.
