Default  Tamron 17-35mm F2.8-4 Anybody have one?

Found a fella selling one pretty cheap, and I am looking for a decent wide angle. Anyone have any experience with Tamron?

POTN doesnt have much on the lens. But if it is worth getting, I could get that and still have some cash left over to get myself a 70-200f/4 for my motorsport/aviation photography

For a very similar price (probably $50-75 more), I'd go with the Sigma 17-70, it would be the perfect compliment to your planned Canon 70-200 purchase.

But since you didn't ask for opinions on your selection just about the lens, I've heard great things about it. I think you'd be plenty happy with it.
