    Well, that's the longest focal length catadioptric system I've ever heard of. I like how it has built in ND filters as its .5 meter mirror probably soaks up enough photons to start a fire.

    220#'s ? Yikes!

    Any mention of price? I haven't been able to find much mention of this lens other than its debut in the 60s.

    There is one of those parked downstairs in the hangar I work in. No optics attached, just the mount. I have no idea what they use it for.

    For reals? Those things are serious money. It took me 5 minutes of GISing just to find that tiny pic.

    Yeah, it was just parked next to the tool crib. I'd take a photo, but that sort of thing isn't allowed. There might be another one in the parking lot. They have a big fiberglass clamshell cover that goes over them, not those fabric covers like that picture shows.
