    Default  The official IS/OS/VR/?? Thread!

OK, I had this idea, and figured a bunch of us could share images here. The point of this thread is to post images that were taken with IS, and where the IS most likely helped the shot be usable. IE shooting slower than the 1/fl rule and using IS to keep the camera and lens stable. Share what you have, I ask if you could, leave EXIF intact so we can know what we're dealing with here...

Some examples from me with the 300mm:

the interesting thing to me is I had a 28-135mm when they first came out on my A2E. I didn't really like/appreciate the IS it had at the time. I now love it on the 300mm though, and it has me thinking lately.

How about a USAC Midget going into turn 3 at 150mph @ 1/90th

    Or a Noble @ 1/60th

Both taken with the Canon 70-200 2.8 IS on Mode 2, smugmug strips out the exif when they host the image . . . gay

This is kind of an extreme example:

Shot at 300mm at 4/10ths of a second... this was hard to do, but I wanted to try it for fun. I can reliably handhold my 70-300 at 300mm at 1/30th and get sharp shots.
