    I just got it in this afternoon, so I haven't spent too much time with it yet. I plan on giving it a good workout this weekend.

    and why is the hood stepped in like that? It seems the first wider part would be enough to fit over the petals on the hood...

    i imagined that they were trying to let you get a circular image from it. the cap comes off of the hood, so you can shoot out of it.



    they didn't do a good job or making it round though.

    So are those first few shots with the 10 Cropped down to 4:3? Or is the circular image on a larger sensor?

    2:3 and it fills the frame. the 4.5mm gives you the black corners you're asking about. When you read the description on a FE, if it says 180º diagonal, that means it's a full image like in the first post. If is says circular then it's the black corners.
