    Default  2 Leads

I got 2 leads this week for people wanting me to work for them. I'm kind of excited.

1st is a guy in my neighbor hood who also has a house for sale, but is going at it without a realtor. He had seen my house and wanted to know where I had gotten the interior shots. We talked about it a bit and I think I'll be heading over to get some shots next week. I'm off work, so it's not going to be inconvenient at all. It won't be a paying gig, but I could really care less. Something else to go in my files and a chance to do some more work.

2nd is a lead from the last little engagement/save the date set. I'm sure it will pay, but not a lot. In all honestly probably not worth my time. However, I think the experience would pay off in the long run. What little I would get would pad the camera acct (It's pretty thin right now and I'm really wanting a 14-24 and 24-70).
I do know one thing I won't make exceptions for tardiness like I did for my friends for people I don't know. The last session could have been so much better had we shot an hour earlier.

    Word of mouth is cool.

on the first one, the biggest issue I see with it? You'll have competition on the market now that ALSO has great shots.

    otherwise though, that's great!
    I own this joint!

That's awesome mang I've been thinking about working the real estate angle for a while but I'm sticking to my people and events stuff for at least a little while. The number of terrrrible interior shots I see and the ones I took while apt hunting(not even trying) makes me think I could handle it.

thanks guys.. It should be fun.

I don't think he's competition for me. I'm about $30k less and have a better lot. He does have an in ground pool, which really doesn't factor into value unless you absolutely have to have a pool.

Here's another Email I got today. I' really intrigued by this one and want to do it because it would be something different to say the least. Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time on my hands at the moment. I also don't really have anyone near me I can pass it off on, so maybe we can make something work.

Hi there! I'm a friend/co-worker of **** from ******** and was referred to you regarding a photoshoot!
I'm a figure competitor in body building (my first 2 shows are this month) and am interested in a photographer to begin a portfolio for sponsorships. I'm very impressed with the engagement photos you did for ****!
Please send me your rates and availability? I'm hoping to set something up the weekend of the 14th, outdoors, which is the weekend between my competitions. I look forward to hearing from you!!
If you can find the time to make this happen, I can send lots more business your way!
    Thank You!

I'm talking to a friend that does this stuff right now and I guess the reason she wants it done the weekends beween her competitions is that's when they are in the best shape (starving/dehdrated) and most tan (NJ anyone?).
