In January, my "Snake River Rays" shot was a 2-page spread in a small nature photo magazine and since it is such a small publication (Nature's Best Photography for Kids) and one of the first issues, I didn't worry too much about payment or anything as long as I had photo credit. I somewhat know the editor and I just didn't think it was a big deal.

Well, apparently she wanted to pay me and sent a $175 check and 2 copies of the magazine to my old address. Luckily, she called me today about something else and we got it straightened out so the check and issues are now on their way to me.

So, yeah, $175 out of the blue. Nice!
