Just got this email:
This is Melanie So-and-So from TH Entertainment, a music documentary production company. We are producing a documentary on Willie Nelson for Biography Channel and would like to include one of your photos.
It was sent to us by Douchey McDoucherton from NORML. It is a photo taken by you at an Austin NORML event and is of Willie Nelson performing on stage.
Keith gave us permission to use some of the photos owned by NORML free of charge since we are portraying Willie and the organization in a positive manner.
Would you be willing to let us use your photo free of charge? We could certainly include a 'thank you' to you in the credits of the show.
Now since I've already been paid for that shoot I'm not concerned about milking them for money. What I am concerned about is having my name tied to NORML, but this seems legitimate even though I've never heard of TH Entertainment or the Biography Channel. I think I'll push them for a tape of the documentary as well as my name in the credits. Could be cool.
edit: Also, I need to find out which photo she's talking about
edit edit: And I'll definitely be writing up a grant of usage rights contract for them
