I bought a second domain name for a side project I am starting up. I use bluehost as my host for prolificphotography.com

So, I purchased the URL through bluehost and added it to my domain manager. Do I have to have it setup as thisname.prolificphotography.com?

I don't want it associated with my prolificphotography site at all. I want to be able to type in the new URL only.

Can I host multiple domains without using them as sub domains of www.prolificphotography.com?

Depends on your host, ask them.

I have 1and1, and I have 6 different sites hosted on the same plan.

I also have 1and1 and also have 5 sites with them... With 1and1 anythingyouwant.yourexistingdomain.com is free. Anything on it's own you pay for and is completely separate.

I got it figured out. I am now trying to get the blogger account to publish to the new site via FTP.

I may just make a word press blog.

All I need is a really simple blog that I can allow users to upload pics to.

Not entirely true

I keep adding domains, and they never charge me.

My host all subdomains are free, extra domains are $10 a year (inc registeration)
