    Default  Getting Published!

It was on my goals for 08 list to get in the Skagit Land Trust coffee table book. Most of my photos were taken in Skagit County, so I had plenty of material. Got the phone call today that I'm in!!!

They had over a thousand shots to go through and narrowed those down to about 200, and they want to use 3 of mine. She said that was pretty impresive.

For the people that got picked, there is a 2nd deadline for more specific pictures of this or that. They want alot of the "people doing this" shots, which I don't have, but I think I'll be able to get in another shot or two.

here's the ones they've grabbed for now

Nice, Todd. Definitely good to get published in your area, that's where the bulk of future sales/contacts will usually come from.

    Congrats.

    Thanks guys!

I'm pretty sure the version of #2 I sent in is less colorfull. I pushed the color too much on that shot, but most people love it anyway.

Got a local contest to work on next. "Essence of Bellingham" Seeing that I don't currently have anything that fits the bill, I will have to use some creativity in the next couple weeks.

The second one is absolutely breathtaking! Great wide angle on the third too. Congratulations! Well-deserved.
