My pool of assistants is dwindling, looking for some more names to throw in the hat, especially those that are available during week days

Some photography knowledge is helpful, must have valid drivers license and know how to drive a manual transmission.

You may get to touch/drive some cool cars (and some not so cool cars) and get paid for it (not a lot, but did I mention you might get to drive some cool cars?), you might even learn something too.

I'm definitely interested, but my availability during the week is also limited. With enough notice, my schedule can be flexible though.

I live in Clovis, Ca (Fresno County) so I can't really drive up. But if you ever come to the Central Valley and would like some help, I am extremely interested. While I know I wouldn't be taking any of the photographs myself here is a link to some of my automotive photography to show that I have some knowledge.

I have some work coming up at the end of this week and a shoot in Palo Alto, CA for about a week at the end of the month that I need assistants for.


I also have another photographer friend who is looking for assistants as well and will pass names on to him too if you are interested.


Quoting from above to elaborate about the kind of work

Basically I need help prepping cars (cleaning etc) and need someone to help drive them for moving shots or move them into position for still shots. Also will involve moving gear around and helping to set up the shots.
Most of the magazine shoots are of the KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) variety, so they are usually not very elaborate and available light, so I don't necessarily need someone who is an expert photographer, though it doesn't hurt ( I do have a few professional assistants for the more elaborate shoots but sometimes need second assistants too)

Pay is $200-250 per day which is dictated by what magazines/clients are willing to pay for assistants, but it is not terribly hard work

It is not a weekly or monthly gig, it is random days every now and then with the occasional overnighter road trip, quite often during the week.
