I got an offer from overnightprints.com for 100 free business cards since I do all the shop's cards through them. What better way to get my own card?
(front design blatantly stolen from Ben, thanks!)

When I made my card I started with that font, then edited it to be my actual hand writing since it was close.

Katie Couric, while interviewing a Marine sniper, asked:
"What do you feel when you shoot a terrorist?"
The Marine shrugged and replied: "Recoil."

Re: Business cards arrived today |
That's the result of a hasty setup in the studio. As the subject and final product were not a terribly high priority, I handheld those shots with only the overhead light and I also spent no time trying to reduce reflections. What you're seeing is the overhead reflecting towards the camera. The actual card face is uniform black throughout.
By the way, what are you sippin on?

Re: Business cards arrived today |
Welp I started with a few miller lites with dinner, then Imoved on to a few LI Ice Tea's ( my wife makes these very kickass) and I just ate summer summer sausage ( deer venison) and cheese with the last miller lite and a can of budwieser and Im out. The wife wont go get anymore and i dont feel like walking so I guess Im cut off.
Nice card though I like how you and ben made them like a portrait looks cool.

Re: Business cards arrived today |
Yeah, I totally stole Ben's style (imitation/flattery/whatever). But I made it my own with the back side of the card.
It's already working. I may have a wedding to shoot the Sat after Thanksgiving and some tattoo parlor owner wants to have me shoot his work. Should be interesting.

Re: Business cards arrived today |
I had an offer to do a wedding just after the first of the year but Ive never shot a weding or many people for that matter. Just my wife and kid and a few of the girls froms chool but I may jump on it for the experience. I think my brothers is before that and Im doing his because its going to be like mine was disposable cameras all over the tables so I guess even if I fubar the pics he wont be out anything haha.
Whats the backside of the card looklike?
