This is a tenative meet. Obviously you have to have the right sky conditions for it to work out. So here is what I propose. A Friday or Saturday night, at Green Falls Pond in Voluntown, CT. I want to try shooting these again since my first didn't work out as well as I wanted. The deal is I will check the weather a few days out to look for a clear night, with little moonlight, and then set the meet day. We can meet at my place and drive from there. It is about a 10 minute drive. I will let everyone know that if you want northern sky, you will have to walk about 20 minutes through the woods (it is all on a nice wide trail) to get to it. Southern sky we can drive to and pretty much walk out of the car 50 feet to the shore. Last night it seemed like the light or lack thereof in the southern sky is better, probably due to the ocean to the south. Shots to the west aren't terrible light wise either. For this meet, bring a tripod, a portable lighting source (flash, flashlight, PDA, Ipod), dress warm, depending on weather, bring a camera with bulb mode, or a camera with the capablity to have the shutter held open, remote, cable release, or laptop with tether to fire the camera. Bring something to pass the time, or eat or whatever. When we figure out the date, and amount of participation, I will give directions to the house, and time to show up.
