Well I'll just start another thread in case anyone looks at the old one and says "Well that already happened, next thread".

Well didn't go this morning. No clouds. Got up on time, but the sky just didn't look the way I wanted it to. Since no one else had said they were coming this morning, I figured I wasn't leaving anyone hanging. So lets try tomorrow the 1st of Feb. I know the Super Bowl is on, blah blah blah. But this is early, and gives you plenty of time to get home to watch it.
Looking at NOAA right now, it says it will be mostly cloudy tonight, and partly tomorrow. So I am going to re-start this thread with this post. So tomorrow, about same times. Sunrise will be 6:57, with civil twilight at 6:29, so if anyone else wants to meet tomorrow, lets figure out a time and place today.

There is a Dunkin Donuts on RT.108 just after the Narragansett rotary we could all meet at say 6am? Or we could just meet at the light also.

NOAA also says breezy, so it could get a little chilly, so dress accordingly.

If we just want to meet at the lighthouse, here is a map for reference.

Point 1 is not really a labeled road. It is just the entrance to the lot. I cant remember what the sign says at the lot entrance. Something about fishing IIRC.

I'm in - do you have an ETA to the lot? I'll meet up there, I haven't shot a sunrise in forever.

I figure I will leave my place by 5:15, I am coming from Griswold, CT, via RT.138. Normally that would take me forever, but that time of day there is no idiots driving 20 mph on 138. So it says by my directions like and hour to get there, so figure about 6:15am at the lot. Man I hope the sky is better tomorrow. Normally I would have shot on a clear day, but want some good light diffusion with the clouds.

Be careful going down the entrance road, it is kinda rutted. At least it was the last time I was there.

Also, since it is supposed to be "breezy" should be some good breaks on the rocks below the lot were we're gonna shoot. But I plan working my way up the beach towards the light also.

i'll set my alarm for 4am, if i show up i'll be there

who wants to shoot somewhere like, tomorrow morning at the lighthouse, and then somewhere else around RI till noonish or whatever?

would love to shoot with you guys, but its a bit early to head down there with Lily. Maybe ill get some afternoon shots of the lighthouse.

I'll get to them tomorrow. I ran the RAW's through process, but need to dust them yet. Only got about 4 that I really happy with. Once the sun got above the horizon, it really messed me up. Made up for it at Castle Rock Light though. The Cokin system was cool though. I just need more time with it. Once I pick it up I will figure it out I imagine.
