Definitely been having a good time at these meets, let's try another for next Saturday morning (3/14) at Black Point in Narragansett.

Civil Twilight starts at 6:30, Sunrise at 6:59.

Meet a bit before 6:30 at this parking lot:

Like I said already, I'm in.

    pi day?

    I'll have the polarizer nonetheless.

Right now NOAA is calling a partly cloudy night Friday, and partly sunny Saturday. So hopefully it holds. And at least in my mind I don't have to get up as early.

Yeah - I should be pretty well adjusted to the DST by then. Weather sounds promising!

Pi day is 3.14 - just a bad attempt at a nerdy pun.

In google maps you can just right click center the map where you want and then choose link at the top right and it'll give you a link to it.

also in google, if you double left click it'll center on that spot. Then click link, but don't copy it.... scroll to the end of the link and find the lat lon it's centered on. Then repaste that into the search line and then copy THAT link...

FYI, for anyone that hasn't been down there before, make sure you have a flashlight on you to get down there. This isn't like Weekapaug where you just walk out onto a sandy beach.

Part of a Hi-tech P series set up. Not 77mm screw in. If you have a 77mm cokin adapter ring, your good. I have a spare holder.

Looking at getting a B+W 77mm 3.0 ND (1000X) though (nine stops I think). Won't have it by Saturday though.

Cool, thanks! I've got the holder, I'm just waiting on the adapter ring. (I tried to save $12 by getting a knock off direct from HK, we'll see if that bites me in the ass, but it should be here sometime soon.)

If you ordered today, you could probably get a 77 ring by Friday from 2filter.com. Use overnight, and Friday fo sho.

I think their regular shipping might get it to you by Friday. They are quick. Only up in Vermont, so not far to ship.

I can deal with waiting a bit longer, the ebay seller specified 7-10 days, Friday will be 12. So I'm not too worried yet. I can deal w/ holding my grads on Saturday if I need to.

Looking at the tide chart, will be low tide tomorrow about 8am. So tide will be on the way out. Could expose some rocks not seen at high tide. Weather still says partly cloudy in 'Gansett tonight. So hopefully everything will work tomorrow. MoLS did you get your 77 ring?

    Nope.

Nor did I get my 645 lens that isn't in two pieces.

I also pulled something in my back pretty good today. Probably from all the sitting on my ass I do while writing. I'm gonna see how it is tomorrow morning, but I might not make it.

Great meet guys. Had a great time this morning. Just looking at the RAWs, I have some stuff this time. I will process this afternoon. Might be headed to Watch Hill this afternoon for sunset, so we'll see how much I get done. If anyone is interested in heading down to Watch Hill, let me know.

I had a good time, as always, but I didn't really get anything I'm too excited about. A few to share, but that's about it.

Hopefully my back is better for next week!
