The studio that would work has a pending rental on the 20th. But they haven't paid their deposit. The owner says that they have about a week to confirm and then it will be ours for the taking. unless they pay a deposit and it will be gone. this one is on the same city block as the original studio.

this place would be another possibility, but it is very very basic and not in as nice an area for outdoor work.

they have a morning workshop, we wouldnt be able to shoot until 1pm.

am also looking at other options.

So is the cutoff date for this friday? I'd kind of like to have a definite for that weekend by then.. not everyone needs it, but I'd like to have one.

The only replacement studio I have gotten any response from has to wait till the 13th for a person who tried to book to decide/pay a deposit. If they don't we can have it. But I have nothing from any other studios.

that is the kind of crap i have been dealing with for months now. add in a completely wishy washy i dunno schedule at work and i am losing motivation. but i really want this to happen so that i'm not blamed for a failboat appearance.

I got an email last night from a studio that sounds promising. I'll be calling him today to fnd out more, as long as the 20th is open for him we should have a winner.

Simaria called me this afternoon. She will have either her new studio ready to go or we will be in the studio(my #2 choice) for us. When she was closing her current studio she booked the #2 for us preemptively. She will have two MUA's available for us and all that. For the make up artists we need to get them headshots of each model they do make up on. which is super stupid easy.

So, now we are ready to go. An update is going out to the models tonight to get them all updated and confirmed. i feel much better tonight!

Did she say why she took weeks to respond? Glad it worked out and good on you for the effort you are putting in to this Dan.

Oh yeah the other part of the story:
Simaria had kidney failure. she has lost one kidney and was in the hospital for some time getting over the attack the diagnosed the condition and figuring out if her remaining kidney could handle the new work load. She is ok now with meds and a new diet.

I can do this the day we fly, so if you are undecided dont stress too much.

At the moment I will stick it all on my CC and then when we meet up at the airport people can just give me cash.

Also they are refundable so if you dont turn up, you will just have to answer to US ALL!! ha ha

If you are going to fly in from somewhere other than Boston or JFK, let me know the airport you want to fly from, and I will check the loads to make sure they look okay for you to get to JFK. (Caitlyn, Geoff)
