I live about a mile from Quonset Point which is where the RI national guard hosts the RI air show every year. I'm also a block and a half from the beach, so typically our entire neighborhood goes down to the beach and watches from there. You get a no hassles show but you don't get any of the things you see from the field. IE nothing close up except the jets. But we'll be on the beach with "beverages" so it's still a ton of fun.

The show runs from 10am to 4:30pm (with the better stuff at the end, I'll post an official schedule as soon as it's available). I suggest we meet at my house around 10am (subject to change when the schedule comes out). If you're late (on purpose or otherwise), you can meet us on the beach. Bring whatever you'll need on the beach for a few hours (chair, water, "beverages", food, sun protection etc). The best guys will fly at ~3:30 typically so you want to be sure to be here at the end if you pick only part of the time. Afterwards, we can grill at my house. I'll supply cheap beer (gansett), hot dogs and hamburgers. If you're picky bring anything you think you'll need. I figure we will have had a long day shooting/BSing but we might as well have some relaxing time at the end as well and get some chow.

The blue angels are in Huntsville, Alabama that weekend. Some years they don't come, but then we get the snowbirds... They're listed at the Ottawa Air Show that weekend as well. Turns out it's the thunderbirds this year (thanks KC):

I'm 51 highbank ave in the neighborhood in my location. Just put that lat lon into google maps to figure out the town if you need it.

chuck, either park at the house, or park down near the water (from my house drive east, then south, IE go to the other end of my street, then hang a right). But I'd bet that parking lot is chuck o block with the airshow, so check carefully for no parking signs if you don't use my driveway. From there, walk south on the beach, you'll see people there, keep going till you see me!

We're meeting at 10am, not sure when we'll head out as the show is 10am to 4pm. I'm sure kiki and luca will be checking out the house and elias for a bit, and we'll have to pack up the beach chit before we go. But I'd bet we're down there my 11 ish? Also, Nikki isn't sure when she'll head down because Elias was in tears for the practice today. So knock when you get here and she'll probably be here to point you in the right direction.

Eric, as I said, I have basic stuff, and a case of (cheap) Beer. So we should be OK, but maybe bring a 6er if you're thirsty? The last show is ~4pm, then we'll walk home, so yeah somewhere around 5pm is when I'd expect we'll fire up the grill. Who knows when we'll be done.

ALSO we have NO SODA in our house, so if you want some, bring it! We stock water and booze.

We've got Coke Zero, Barq's & Sprite in the car (because I'm lazy and never unloaded them from grocery shopping) so sodas are pretty much taken care of. I've also got a couple bottles of wine.

We should be at Ben's house by 10-ish, give or take a few minutes. I'm gonna try to be out of the house by 8... I'm sure 2 hours will be plenty to get down there, but you never know with traffic.
