Everyone is so negative, like rooting for this to fail. I think it's a great idea for them to bring something like this to the US. Now it probably won't be as great as the UK version, but it just might be funny, entertaining and informative. 3 reasons I like to watch TV. And who knows, it could turn out to be awesome in a whole different kind of way than the UK show.

I know he's funny in short bursts, but his humor gets old fast IMHO. I've watched the man show and a few other shows he's been on where it's funny for one or two episodes, then it's just the same shtick over and over. I did not no he's a car guy though.

According to Leno, the American version relies on advertisments, so it can't give fair reviews for all cars. The BBC version is all publicly funded, and relies on no company for advertisments, so it can give a balanced review.

Is the US going to have anything like that? Can adam throw the cars around? Can they make up whacky races and intentionally speed like they do over there?
and besides, if "groomer has it" can be in season 2, this show has GOT to have a decent chance at making it for at least a few years

I'd bet some manufacturer will gladly loan them a test track if they can't use something that already exists in CA. This show will make $$$ so paying for track time won't be an issue. I'd also bet the speeding they do on the UK version is on a closed course which $ buys easy enough. I've never seen them speed in the UK version on a street with other cars on it.

There is no shortage of test tracks around Los Angeles, we are the center of car culture, after all.
