So, where to gumshoe?

I was thinking Jan or Feb, after the holidays...

Id like to do snow shooting, so there should be plenty of it come Jan or Feb, locations are up for debate.

Im recommending the Adirondacks. (lake Placid area)

yea, its a ways off, I just want to get the discussion/ planning started to be more organized. Hopefully we can get a larger group this time.

We are always is Boston, if anything im sure a bunch of us can do dinner at least!

Yeah, I am hoping to get to meet some of you when we are there, at least just to hang out a little bit. I will start a thread when I have more specifics, but it will probably be March sometime.

I'm down for LP, but if we go there we're going on the bobsled (I used to live up there).
I'll also go skiing one of the days. I'll have to see what's going on in Early Feb or maybe late January. LP is an awesome town with a lot of fun activities.

The Newport Mansions seem like they could be fun. As does Boston (anytime as Matt said, it's ~1 hour for me so I'll go for shooting/dinner if I'm available).

OH, and IBthemove.

I LOVE the Bobsled, Tons of fun! Havnt been to the LP area in awhile but there are tons of things to do/ see/ photograph.

We let the N00bs come along, it's actually a great learning experience.

Yeah, no reason not to come. All questions will be answered (correctly is not guaranteed though ) and all gear can be tried (I speak for myself on that one).

Besides, we spend a lot of time eating.

I got blueberry apple sauce, and I miss Maine.

damn, that sounds great.
Also Nikki tried to make that blueberry syrup from breakfast.
Not as good (it looked down right nasty) but it was delicious!

I dont mind ppl using my stuff either... Its really alot of fun, great way to learn and see how other photogs do things.

colonel, If you check out the NSOP home page, I did a writeup of our adventures from the first one. If you can make it when we go I think it youd have a great time and learn alot, especially if your getting started.

if it's during the typical Feb. break (feb 16-24), I'll meet you all in the ADK's. My parents live an hour from Lake Placid and I'll be up for the week snowmobiling, etc.

^ Cant do a Wed... Preferably a weekend. If its LP we are going to stay the weekend. Saratoga is 30 min from my house so thats no problem either.
