That bag looks pretty cool. Too bad it probably wouldn't fit my standard Gitzo GT1541 (I don't have the traveler model).

Also, where's he putting the umbrella swivels? I see stands and umbrellas, but no swivels. Hmm.

you fleabay link is VERY tempting though... With those three pockets you could almost make each one a lenscase (what I was thinking of adding to the original one)...

haha, wasn't even looking at the names over there. Yep, I was thinking 2 flashes in one, syncs & brackets in another, and maybe a lens or ballhead in the third. I thought it was cool that they are compatible with hydration kits.

I'm looking at ordering a Feisol tripod that would be similar to a Gitzo 2540 Traveller folding 19" including the head.

I need to measure my legs & head tonight, if they're 20" or less (not likely) I'm very interested in the fleabay one, especially for our trip to TX...

Tactical go pack as seen in the movie "Transformers". Withstand harsh combat situation.
Coincidently I need a bag for my Lumendynes and stands. I've been half heartedly looking for a bag. I'm going to take the chance on the ebay one.

Ben, since you have 3 sections, it will be about 23" long. From what I've seen so far, only the 4 section legs get under 20". Drew, please post up here when you get it in. I'm curious.

yeah, just thinking about it and looking at my ruler here at my desk, I'm thinking I'm closer to 30" with the head on it... it still might be great for going to TX, but it's not perfect for what I'm really looking for.

I really wish I could make my own bags (the skills, time and materials are missing).

It's on the long boat ride from China now...

I wish it had a dimension for the pockets, but I think my Lumendynes will fit in them, at least I could stuff them inside instead. Both umbrellas and stands I know will fit. Anything is better than the laundry basket I have them in now.

WRONG, I assumed( did not measure) the stands and umbrellas. They are closer to 24 inches. So I have a really nifty bag now. I'll find a use. I think I'm going to convert my old sports bag from highschool into a gear bag with help from some foam dividers.

Eventually when I get around to my hypothetical Vintage Honda Cafe racer project. I'll need a riding bag.

    BUMP!

so I finally got around to measuring my stands (Nikki bitched about "all the crap" under my desk the other night, the stands and softboxes are said crap) and they're ~25"... So this won't work for sure.

    But I found this:
    http://www.standbagger.com/
I'd be getting a 6 from them, but I'm not sure 2 softboxes will fit with 2 stands in the same bag at 5.5" diameter.... The roll up looks nice as well and might fix that issue. Right now I have my 2 stands with the umbrellas in a tripod bag, then the 2 softboxes each in their own bags, but I want ONE bag that holds everything...
