Yeah, click the link, it's a better review over on the blog thanks to me using descriptions on the images. Here's a teaser to get you guys interested:

    • I think that's "it"....
    • that's 20.86lbs of crap

Yeah, I normally wouldn't have half that crap with me at any given time, here's my normal setup:

basically, that's my landscape setup, filters, accessories and my zooms. I have a tripod strap for it so it goes on the other shoulder.

So far I really like the bag. The strap is weird, if it ends up being too short in use I'll have someone stitch me a longer/lighter one which will be super easy. The dividers SUCK, like really bad for a bag this nice which I find odd, but I'm VERY tempted to have someone make some for me locally. Beyond those two nitpics I LOVE it.

that video will be replaced with a better one in a week or two. That was done last night when someone on PotN was asking about the iPad... Nikki had already gone to bed so I had to be quiet. Better than wind noise though right? And how do you like the 4x speed for the slow BS?

Yea so i'm on the fence with my R20. I'll have to think about it when I'm not juggling 40 things at once, but I like the bag overall, and on my attempt to stuff it with as much as I could I resulted in the following:

    5DII gripped
    40D
    70-200 2.8 IS (no hood)
    16-35 (no hood)
    sigmalux (hood reversed)
    85 f/1.8 (hood reversed)
    2 x SB25
    1 x 580exII
    16-35 hood
    tons of memory cards
    2 pens
    1 lens pen
    1 cloth wipe thing
    3 x Cybersync CSRB
    1 x Cybersync CSR
    1 x Cybersync CST
    R20 Raincover
    Sekonic L358
    rocket air blower (large?)

So yea.. this thing is stuffed.. need to take some pictures of it and my freebie.. the freebie is a lot better than I expected

so what are you on the fence about? Getting a different size or the line all together? I'd bet that weighs TON though... mine was 21lbs with what I put in mine and your kit should be worse....

I'm on the fence about size. While I stuffed more than what I'd ever need to stuff in the bag.. I was having trouble fitting items in a logical(for me) way.

    Event pack:

    40D
    5DII
    4 lenses

Now, that all fits, sort of.

70-200 attached to 5D is no problem, the problem is I'd need to fiddle with the dividers to get the 5D gripped all the way to the left/right of the bag w/70-200 attached to then allow for the 40D to sit on top as well. This becomes a non-issue when I just stuff the 40D into one of the divider slots. I guess I'll just have to get used to the placement of items in the bag and ween myself off my setup. I don't forsee this bag ever failing me in terms of storage space, but it may be a wash if it can carry all the gear, but not allow access to said gear efficiently. ie Must take out 2 pieces of equipment to get to x and they all must go back in that order or it won't fit.

Like I said, need to play with it some more.

As for weight, no idea what that full pack comes in at.. but it feels like nothing. Padded strap FTW.. I've had this barebones unpadded canvas noose around my neck/shoulder for the past year.

sounds like you might need the 30, but then you loose the 70-200 on body.....

Dude so something wanted to share.. the flap you said you can't let flop around. I just folded mine down and used the flaps to velcro to the side, gives a little bit of additional support to prevent the divider from moving on you.

yeah, but I LIKE having it flop/flap over the lenses so where the body overhangs that section it doesn't touch the lenses in the next one over.

I got an idea from NC though, on a new way to organize my bag (from a pic with 2 bodies in one R20) which might make it much easier. Basically, body and lens to one end, filters IN THE MIDDLE, then the other lenses on the other side... and store the body sideways (top towards an end).

yeah, just more padding and some nice newer touches. It's definitely the market/crowd they're aimed at though.
