Default  How many of you guys have LCD screen protectors?

Eh? Seems like I should protect the screen, but I'm sure the protectors make the screen more difficult to see the images...

I put those clear sticker protector thingies on my displays, it doesn't affect things too much. Not like you can see it in the sunlight anyway. And everytime I look at how filthy or scratched up the protector is I know it was a good idea.

Thanks. I actually have some screen protectors, but I guess I just want to see if people like them, or if they overly-inhibit viewing the LCD...so thanks for the input.

I've had the InvisibleShield protectors on mine for a year and a half now or so. Definitely seem to work quite well and they're only noticeable from an oblique angle where you can see a bit of the surface unevenness.

My D300 came with a hard plastic one, as do most of the Nikons, but my D50 never had one, and never got messed up either.

The canons Ive done, you just need a suction cup and you just pull on it till the screen lifts off.
    Replace and your set...
(unless you do this the week before you go on vacation, and get a huge nasty scratch in it on your 2nd day there :P )

I use the Expert Shield brand stick on ones. They are Crystal Clear. You can't tell it is on there.

not sure who makes the one I have on the 5D, but it's hard plastic and a stick on type. I love it. Except for the teeny tiny bubble on the edge you can't tell it's there. And that's so small I left it because I would probably get more elsewhere if I tried to get it perfect...

I don't see any effects on viewing either. But I only check basic composition and histograms so maybe I'm not the one to ask.
