    Default  Shootsac by Jessica Claire.

Ive been looking at one of these for awhile, make all the jokes you want...

    http://www.shootsac.com/

Ive been interested in a light carry bag for weddings with easy access to my lenses and flashes. This seems like the ticket, aside from the price tag. I will be able to see and test one this weekend at the wedding photog. convention. Ill take some pics of it and give you my thoughts.

    You know my opinion.

Get inserts for my Speedy 30, or even my Neverfull, and we will be good to go.

I'm really not a big fan of those bags.

thats what I thought originally, but alot of wedding photogs swear by them. I guess the added weight of the lenses keeps it hugging your body so its not flopping all over the place.

I mean it looks like it has little to no structure and would make getting things in and out a pain.

I used one yesterday and I actually liked it alot. Its tight so the lenses dont wabble around, it does hun against your body and is light and think. It Holds a few lenses, cards, batteries, ect. The 70-200 IS does fit although a little tight, but its nice to know its not going anywhere. Doesnt look too bad in black either. I think this is the route I will take.

How much would that cost to make and how long would it take? $200 sounds ludicrous.

Anyway, I want to see them so I can make my own. Also, why do you guys need them? I thought you had 2 bodies and zooms so you don't have to swap lenses? These were designed for prime shooters no?

they actually work really well. They hold multiple lenses and accessories and make them accessible quickly. Its light and doesnt get in the way. They were designed for quick access to lenses and accessories on the fly for wedding shooters. I wasnt sure about them in the beginning but after using one its really nice. holds the 70-200, flashes, cards, cell, ect. but isnt a bulky bag. I liked it. Hate all you want but at the end of the day if it makes things easier for me im happy.

Matt, I don't think anyone's doubting it's a good bag concept, it's that they're $180 for the least expensive to make bag out there. That and you don't shoot primes which is what it's designed for. With 2 bodies, 3 lenses and 2 flashes, I just didn't think it would make sense to buy 2 is all. Unless Leah got the FE for her Bday.

Do you think Daniel made one because the concept sucked? Nope, just the price... That's why I also very much want to see it up close so I can see how they are really made. This is also why I was looking at BuiltNY wine bottle holders, because I think they're very similar. Just drop them into some sort of small bag and you've got something similar.

Thats the thing, they arnt designed just for prime shooters and there are a few lenses on the list that we will have at some point this year, there is room to grow. The big thing about them is that they are professional looking and make things convenient for the necessities at weddings. I dont mind the price that much either, if it works and gets the job done. Thats just me tho. Plus they are cheaper at adorama.

yeah, that's my point, the basic black version w/o a cover is $30 less than they are with covers... IE $150 w/o cover (basic black) or $180 with a cover. All prices I've ever mentioned have been adorama prices.... Why, how expensive are they on their actual site???

I believe they are 180 for just the bag on the main site, no cover. But they have more selection on the main website for covers than adorama. Ours should get here tomorrow.

i'm confused. on adorama it lists them as SMALL for $180 with a variety of covers, but on the website it has them as one size for $180+$XX for the cover.

is there more than one size?
