    Default  Studio Background Questions

I am turning an extra bedroom into a home studio and I am buying a black paper background. But I also want to buy a gray one. Problem is, B&H has like a billion different grays and I don't know which to choose!

That link probably won't work so if you search for: "gray paper background 107" in lighting and studio, you'll see what I mean.

I was going to go with studio gray (which they spelled grey) but it looks really light. I think I want something a little darker.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

How are you going to be lighting things in the studio? Will there be a light on the background? You can control how light or dark it is that way to an extent.

I figured I'd only be lighting the background when I had a white background. So I could make it a true white.

The background will be next to a window so for the most part I will be using natural light. That's kind of what I am going for right now until I get a second speedlite.

You can light the white background so it turns grey as well.
