I was just talking to StuBeck about this a few minutes ago. I'm looking for an MP3 player, and I really like the Archos 504 and 604. One of the big things all these things claim is that they can display pictures... and the Archos dock apparently lets you hook a digital camera straight up to it with USB and dump pictures off.
But... can any of them read raw files? I shoot CRW for almost everything I do because storage is cheap, and I'd rather waste time sitting in a chair rather than have a screwed up shot because the exposure or white balance is totally screwed. I would love to have an MP3 player that can show me those CRW files while I'm out and about, but... does such a beast exist? If not.. why not? dcraw seems to be a free (public domain?) tool for manipulating various types of camera raw formats... why won't manufacturers use it?

That thing looks nice, but $500 is double what I was looking to pay for something... and the $100 rebate ran out last week
