Default  Suggestion that would help me...

Okay, Ya'll know how bad I am in PP and how PS is not my friend. I just took a look at the tutorial for frames today and WOW! It was easy. I need that kind of instruction. I need that kind of easy tutorial. I've tried to follow one online (video) but it moves too fast and is too over my head. Can you please give a thread on different aspects of PS? (Color adjustments for different types of photos, B&W tutorial, etc) I wanted to do my name on the bottom of my frames too but couldn't figure it out.

Sure, I'll see what I can whip up for you tomorrow... I need to get more tutorials done anyway...

Do you have any specific areas you're looking at (color balance, saturation, curves, levels, brightness/contrast etc) or just basic "How should I start PPing my images?"...

Yeah, figured as much. You both on CS3?
if you are, I can also whip up some actions to share...
I'd just have to talk you through adding them into your PS, but that's pretty easy.

I've got a trial version of CS3. I'm not sure what I got at home. I tried doing the actions tutorial too but what exactly is that useful for? Doing the same thing for each picture you do?

Yep, that's how I PP all my shots. When I do the writeup I'll do it with and w/o actions... With will say:
    Run 5D action
Run 5D horizontal for BJ.com action
    upload & share...

because that's what I do to most of my stuff these days... Between the 2 actions I do small tweaks, but 75% of the adjustments are done in the 5D action. The second one is because of the way adobe's actions handle images. It's too dumb to have a single resize command that works for a horizontal and or vertical, so I have to have 2 actions...

But I'll also walk you through each adjustment I use, and how I use it... It's just going to take me a while to post it as it will need a ton of screen captures which messes up the editing you're doing. Pick one of my shots from any of my recent threads, I'll post the original, then show you how I got it to the finished product with the exact numbers...

Oh, and BTW, I've had a ton of dust spots on my images lately (I need to clean my sensor) so you'll get how to clean spots up too by default.
