    Default  Cheap??

What can I expect to pay for PS Cs3? I've googled and searched and get every price from around $200 to around $600 (???). I've been using the trial with 11 days left to go on it. So far from the tips and awesome tutorials I can definitely use this. Photoshop is getting so much better for me. So, how much and where can I buy it for relatively cheap??

    <----only got a $200 Christmas bonus

If you know anyone who is a student, youll find the student discounts from Adobe to be worthwhile. make sure you get the full version as well and not the upgrade... unless of course your upgrading. but there is a big price jump retail wise between the two.

Adobe is pretty damn strict with their licensing (I have first-hand experience dealing with them from working at the local college), and although I haven't gotten around to literally calling them and asking about using student versions of their software for commercial work, I'd be willing to be it's a no-go. The only info I've found is that a student version can be upgraded to a commercial version.

That's worth covering. If you're making money with the software you really should be very careful to make sure you have legal, properly liscenced copies.

I got the whole CS3 suite for $200... but the way our school gets that deal makes it hard to get it for anyone else.

You could always go over to the linux side and use Gimp... I haven't played around with it too much since it's only on my laptop... but it's cheap $0.00
