Default  Another action for you (fisheye and crops):

OK, I was doing something to prove a point to a PotN monkey... When I started I realized it would be a ton of steps, but that it could easily be made an action if I just clicked record when I started. I was comparing how my 15mm FE would look on his 1.6 cropped body. This action basically just draws the white lines around the image where the other crops would fall had the same lens taken the same picture on the other body...

    Nothing major, but realize:
    • YOU NEED TO START WITH A FF IMAGE!!!!
    • it crops the outer 21 pixels off the image, so it needs to have one of my frames on it to start.
    Link!

    results:
    I own this joint!
    gear list.

thanks, and it's for taking any full frame shot (with a 21px frame on it) and drawing the lines on it to show you how the same exact shot would look with that lens on a 1.3 or 1.6 body.

Great post. People don't realize that a 15mm Fish becomes a roughly 22mm Fish on a 1.6x crop and loses 99% of it's fish eye look.

    Egg Z.

I found a ton of people would see shots in the 15mm FE thread on POTN and fall in love with the look... then they'd be buying that lens but they'd have a 1.6 where almost every shot in that thread (over there) is with a FF camera....

the 10mm FEs, in theory at least, should yield the same results on a cropper.

I am so glad you posted this, and the topic. When I go for FE lens later this year the 15mm was exactly what I was looking at getting. And for the very reason stated here. I saw the archive and liked the photos in it. I never thought about the majority of shots coming from FF bodies.
