    Default  Lightroom

My wife just bought me Lightroom for my b-day. I've installed it, but haven't had a chance to play with it yet (although I had played around a bit with the beta a few months ago).

Anyone else using it who wants so share their workflow? Any cool ideas/tips yet?

I use it as my main PP... use it to organize and keep up with my photos also.

All my wedding shots go through it. I'm not that proficient in it yet but I know where all the basics are

A friend of mine gave me a disk with all the adobe products on it about a month ago. I've installed LR, but so far I'm only using it to DL the images from the card because I don't like using the same PP on every image, and I have quite figured the whole thing out yet... Like how do I save copies of the files once I tell it to adjust them a certain way???

I just need to sit down and go through a tutorial and I might like it, but I'm so used to PS, right now I use PS to edit and bridge (cs3) to browse....

You export them to whatever file format you'd like.

I like lightroom because it never changes the original file

How do you tell it where to save them? Also how do I tell it to resize them to another size?
IE for everything at work, I DL the originals, then edit down to 1000x666 and do all my PP, then save those in a subfolder called "small"

When you tell it to export it will ask you where to export them too. Also I'm not familiar with mass resizing but I think you can make a routine for that upon exporting.

I went to the RI photo club for the first time on Tuesday night because they were discussing this...
Learned a bit but it was very much geared toward non computer savvy people, not people who already know PS very well, so it was all basic stuff. I picked up enough I've started playing with it at work... I'm now using it to DL and edit crap for work, then export it to another folder at the smaller size they like... Not sure how I like it, but I need to learn how to make it work for me via automated editing as it imports.
