    Default  Lightroom Beta 2

I dl'd the beta tonight and just jacked around a little with some images I took a couple years ago.

You can actually utilize a dual monitor setup which is pretty cool. Also they've added some masking features.

I've only used it for a couple minutes but so far it seems better. I've also noticed that it appears to load the images much faster.

Anyone else checked it out yet?

Also, I finally realized you can use the "~" key to flag photos much easier than clicking the little flag in the top corner.

yup, been using it for a little while now, seems a bit faster to me as well, everything else seems similar or of not much use to me.

I have been using it also. I like it so far. And the addition of the retouch tool is nice. Plus the better vignette control. Also I like where they moved the crop, red eye, spot removal, and retouch controls to.

Yeah, it is in a better place. I'm just having a hard time remembering that they moved it over there.

You can also just use letter shortcuts in any module. "P" flags as a pick, "U" is unflagged, and "X" flags as rejected. just hit the desired letter once.

I'm still using 1.4.1 for the majority of my workflow for now. I'm nervous about creating an entirely new catalog for 2 beta and abandoning my 1.4.1 catalog. But the features on 2 beta are fantastic. I love the retouch masking feature. I love the vignetting being applied to the post-cropped image. I also love that you will be able to integrate with photoshop's hdr and photomerge right from lightroom. Awesome stuff.

Yeah I need to learn all those shortcuts.

I'm not getting rid of my v1 catalog for now. I do have a v2 catalog for playing around. I need to check out the hdr feature.
