    Default  Photoshop problem?

Ok, so after playing with the new monitor, a world of difference is upon myself. I am noticing now that the whites in photoshop are more of a cream. Any ideas on how to fix this, I upload them to flickr and they are fine. My other programs the whites are fine, its only in PS.

What color space are you using in PS? Obviously you're using the same monitor, so calibrated or not, you shouldn't see a difference for any other reason (that I can think of).

The only thing I can think of is that when I switched monitors it didnt reinstall the colorspace for the new monitor is PS? Otherwise I dont see how a fresh install would effect it either?

There is a theory that as technology progresses, and transistor size decreases in microns, that electronics are becoming more and more subject to random cosmic ray strikes. The flux of neutrinos from our own sun is so great that countless particles are now coursing through the earth and your body and your computer. However, because of their incredible small size and masslessness, they rarely interact with matter that makes up those objects. You may have only 2 neutrinos scattered by your body in your entire lifetime. But because transistors are approaching molecular levels, when neutrinos do strike they can have unpredictable results. These are manifested by random glitches and unexplainable ghosts in the machine.

I'm not sayin that's caused your problem, I'm just sayin.

tardypizza - I dont really know what you are talking about, but I agree. Over the summer I took 6 courses in nanotechnology. I learned that the transistor has gotten too small. They are at a point where physics itself is stopping the advancement of microprocessors. The distance between the components are so small that unknown effects are happening. Electrons are jumping ship when they are not designed to.

Sounds like you do know what I'm talking about. I've got my head in the stars so I read a lot about cosmology, the universe, and subatomic particles. But really, I just wanted to throw a curve ball.

Arggghh! Subimatt, your problem has infected my computer!

I just shot a gloriously red bike, looks perfectly red on my screen until I go to save it and it turns orange! I've never had this problem before and nothing has changed in my setup. I've checked and changed color spaces, tried saving it as a different file type and everything else I can think of. I hope I don't have to re-install PS because I need these photos like now.

Ughh, I had to shift the hue 10% towards magenta to get them to come out looking proper red. Freakin bizarre. When I get some time I guess I'll be re-installing photoshop.

Man, I'm not happy with these at all, but as my friend said "Dude, it's just an ebay ad"

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=160187322469

They better look red on your screens.

It is definitely red. In the second pic the red looks abnormal tho. Third pic is very blue. The sky is taking over the tree branches.

I had the same problem a while back. Mine stemmed from them being in Adobe RGB and not sRGB. They'd look great til I saved for web then just look weird afterwards. I know you said you checked color spaces, but that might be it...

That's because the sun was just out of frame to the right and I wasn't shooting with a fill flash. I really had to push the exposure to get the bike to look normal. Just a quick and dirty attempt with mediocre results.

The camera is definitely still in sRGB and I've tried every profile in PS, except for Adobe RGB. I'm going to re-calibrate my monitor and see if an updated profile helps.

Oh they're definitely overprocessed. It took a bit of magic to get them to even look semi normal. For reference, here's the same bike I shot earlier this year that I know the colors are correct because I've printed this one (sorry about the huge size)
