Default  Road Trip Shots (Title Changed - New one 6/1 - 3 total)

    #1:
Shot this on my birthday recently high in the Rockies... it was an awesome day.

And, obviously, this is straight out of the camera and I can't even really see what it looks like () but the histogram looks okay. Bright sun and hotel parking lot are to blame.

    #2:

This was shot in a slot canyon in the wilderness of southern Utah. Amazingly, I was the only soul (as far as I could tell) that went to this beautiful place that day... it required a pretty intense drive, a good deal of route-finding, then a 20-foot or so scramble/climb to get there/get inside. So, that might have been part of it. But, it was incredible to say the least.

And, yes, that shot was hard as **** to do with only 10 seconds.

    #3:
This was shot around 12000' on Mt. Whitney in the eastern Sierras. About 5 minutes later a climbing ranger suggested I turn around since it was "getting pretty gnarly up top". I heeded the advice and started my descent going most of the way with him.

    Hope everyone is doing good.

Thanks, guys. It's been a pretty cool trip so far... nothing too spectacular, just lots of adventures, decent photos, and great people along the way.

I got one for you then, Ted. It's already titled "Rocky Mountain High" in my head. You'll know it when you see it. Once I get home I'm actually going to put a 20x30 of it on my own wall.

If I actually HAD a hotel room, don't you think I'd be using the wireless indoors and not in the parking lot?

Hotels are the #1 traveling wireless hotspot.

And, I just spent last night freezing to death in 15* weather at 8500' with 8 inches of fresh snow this morning, get off my case. (and before anyone says it, YES, I could have been comfortable if I wasn't in a 40* bag)

    Happy b-day (2 days ago)

The first shot looks great. #2 is pretty good, but your sleeve is completely blown out. J/K man.
Can't wait to see the best of the crop when you get them processed.

Thanks, dude. I've found a couple of awesome places, the Rockies were my favorite so far though. I just love high mountains and snow... hence why I'm loving being in the Sierras right now.

I'd like the second one better if you hadn't had to take it with that strange looking read headed guy in it.

Good stuff, can't wait to see more.

I bet you wouldn't if you lived where I live.

I like it for about 3 months, but our winters get too cold and too long.

    I like these pics.

The slot canyon looks a bit washed out to me in the pp - not sure if you care but I think it'd be cooler if it was a bit redder like real life.

Thanks, Jay. There's no PP on any of these, just re-size/web sharpening. So, yeah, they'll be better when I do real versions of some of them.
