5, 1, 7 are my favorites in that order. That place looks amazing.

Thought you'd comment on the camera used ... this was day 2 testing the LX3. So far it's amazing the hell out of me. I'll try to write up a review when I get home next week.

well if a camera isn't good outside at low ISOs, what good is it? But yeah, I've already decided the LX3 will be my next P&S, I'm just waiting for the funding to show up in my bank account.

I've boarded Kirkwood, it was some of the best pow days I've experienced. Squaw Valley kicks ass too.

    Now stop making me jealous.

I really liked Squaw the day I was there a few years ago, lots of cool terrain.

Squaw is definitely a fun beast, but I always choose Kirkwood over all the Tahoe resorts. It has cheaper prices, shorter lift lines, and more snow for days after a storm. The only negative is the "long" drive from south lake. I hadn't been to Tahoe in years and this trip reminded me how much fun the place is after a huge storm (Kirkwood got 15 feet in 13 days).

It was also cool being able to use a "small" camera again. Carrying a dslr blows and the LX3 captured satisfying images (and movies). It's actually a heavy chunk of metal, but makes a good compromise between a tiny, low quality p&s and a dslr.

I was just there a couple weeks ago. Top 5 ski days of my life. I was stoked to ski the steeps and bowls there.
