I've been wanting to take a trip out there for a while, I figured I'd fly to portland or seattle, rent a car, bring camping gear, and just drive up/down the coast and find places to crash.

Agreed, I absolutely LOVE Ecola State Park and some of the others in that area. Unfortunately didn't get to go too much farther south while I was there... maybe this coming summer.

Grew up out there. It really is amazing.

like i said guys, just let me know when you are coming out. i spent tons of summer vacations on the oregon coast, surfed all over the canon/indian beach area and explored the AWESOME spots in Astoria.
