Cesky Krumlov is a tiny town in the south of the Czech Republic. It's listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (I don't remember much of the history so you'll have to google for more info) It has a large castle overlooking town and lots of other wacky old euro buildings ... feels like a Disney movie.
Despite the hordes of tourists that now arrive daily, it's a nice place to chill for a couple days while training around eastern Europe. Besides the architecture, there are some amazing bars/restaurants (many underground in old tunnels), plenty of shops to buy locally made jewelry and pottery, a few museums, and some parks. At the end of summer there's a large music festival and, I think, some Shakespeare theatre stuff.
Note: all shots were taken years ago with Panasonic and Canon P&S's. This is not an attempt to display masterful travel photos, but rather just give a sense of what the place is like. Enjoy.
And when the sun goes down ...
