Default  Cesky Krumlov : Czech Republic

Cesky Krumlov is a tiny town in the south of the Czech Republic. It's listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. (I don't remember much of the history so you'll have to google for more info) It has a large castle overlooking town and lots of other wacky old euro buildings ... feels like a Disney movie.

Despite the hordes of tourists that now arrive daily, it's a nice place to chill for a couple days while training around eastern Europe. Besides the architecture, there are some amazing bars/restaurants (many underground in old tunnels), plenty of shops to buy locally made jewelry and pottery, a few museums, and some parks. At the end of summer there's a large music festival and, I think, some Shakespeare theatre stuff.

Note: all shots were taken years ago with Panasonic and Canon P&S's. This is not an attempt to display masterful travel photos, but rather just give a sense of what the place is like. Enjoy.

And when the sun goes down ...

Absinth is naaaaasty. It tastes like Heiger, which is my least favorite flavor in the world. I couldn't get enough down to experience the lunacy.

I've been all over western europe, except for money pit land (UK).
I need to get started on western europe, and your pics make it look so inviting.

As for the Absinthe, I went to an Absinthe Bar in Amsterdam, the stuff tasted too much like Scope for me to get down a whole shot.

    Awesome pics!!!
