Default  Help me find a shoulder/sling bag that doesn't suck!

It doesn't have to be designed for photo gear, but it would be a plus. I'm just looking for links to any shoulder bags anyone knows of.

Here's my list of options, none of which I love:

    LowePro Slingshot 300 AW $78.85

    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...00_AW_Bag.html
I've tried it in person, and I just can't get over it's build quality/design.

    Tenba Gen 3 Sling $99.95

    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...oto_Sling.html

Belkin Laptop Sling $64.95 (love the look, but it's too thin)

    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...ling_Bag_.html

    Kata T-214 $95.00

    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...orso_Pack.html
    works with the R-102

    Mountainsmith Sideline $89.95

    What am I missing?

So Ben, are you saying the LowePro is poorly made? Even if their designs aren't best I've always found their quality to be outstanding.

Yeah, thats basically what I mean. Their designs suck, and their construction techniques aren't what I like in a pack... They do stay together well though, so nothing against them there. I have a stealth 650 and a TLZ that I like for what they are. But I can't stand their slings. It's a design thing primarily, but their construction techniques also feel very cheap to me on those particular bags.

Their slings just feel like they're thrown together to me. Almost like they were rushed to the market, and never revisited. Their other bags have been refined over the years and are better.

Ahh yeah that could very well be. I've never seen one so I was just curious. I returned the Tenba Backpack and ordered a Lowepro Vertex 200 which should be here tomorrow. I've got high hopes for it, I hear it's a modernized/updated and more digital compatible version of the Nature Trekker basically which I used to own and was a very capable and comfortable backpack.

Matt, what's with that shootsac? Seems like it's wickedly overpriced and aimed at women/wedding photogs? Won't even fit a camera with a lens on it and it's a shoulder bag right?

Their site sucks at giving you a technical look at the bag. Their totally pitching it to fashion conscious buyers.
