Default  10-20 mm lens for the K10d

I'm looking for a good place to get a K10d, preferrably with the kit lens. I also want a nice 10-20 WA. Any recommendations on whether I go with sigma, pentax, or tokina for the lens? I read the reviews on photozone.com which were helpful, and I think I'm leaning towards the sigma. Anyone have the sigma, if so do you like it? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I know the sigma gives the canon a run for it's money, and the canon fan bois love the canon... That's to say the sigma is good and I haven't heard anything bad about it... But I haven't heard anything about the other 2, so take it for what it's worth.

Cool, thanks. I think the pentax lens is too spendy for me right now...and I'm having a hard time finding info on the WA Tokina, so I think I'm gonna go with the sigma...unless someone else has reason for me not to.

+1 for the Sigma. I don't own one, but I've heard nothing but good things. It's next on my list of lenses to purchase.

Too bad you didn't buy last month. Pentax had a $100 rebate on the K10d.

Uh yeah...I know. I was pretty ticked. But i got the K10d with the kit lens for 670$, so I'm not complaining too much. I bet they'll do another rebate in a month or so...so pretty much I'm buying at the worst time ever. The only good thing is that I'm sure that this is what I want. Last month I wasn't.

Where did you end up getting it?

I want the sigma WA lens as well. Then maybe one of the 55-200 zooms. (anyone make a 50-200 f4 pentax zoom?)

i keep hearing good things about this sigma 15mm

and these aren't the best 2 lenses, but i'd recommend them for a novice who bought a body only, you can't beat this range for $230

I have the Sigma and think it's a great lens... It's probably not as nice as the Nikon equivalent, but it's also 1/2 the price and goes 2mm wider (and that was a big deal for me).

So there was a thread with some sample photos from the Sigma 10-20, but now I can't find it. Maybe someone who owns the lens and USES it regularly, should put together a little review, since so many people ask about it/that range.

(Yes, I am referring to myself).
