Can you recommend me a fisheye lens for my crop sensor Canon 40D? I like the kind that doesn't have the black circular edges in the picture.
Thanks!

Sigma 10mm. I know Distorto just got one and posted some shots. Looks like its a great lens.

On B&H it says the Sigma 10mm is for full frame cameras. I wouldn't be able to use it, right?

The full frame they refer to means that the fisheye will fill the image frame, and not create a circular image. It's still designed for your smaller sensor.
The Sigma 10mm definitely seems to be the best option out there for cropped sensors if you want a full frame fisheye.

OK, when shopping for one you want the description to say 180º view diagonal... that means no black corners.
Second on the crop body there are 2 options as far as I'm concerned:
Sigma 10mm f/2.8
Tokina 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5
Personally the whole point for a FE is the effect and zooming in looses that. So why bother with a 10-17 when it'll be at 10mm 99% of the time? For ~$60 less you can get the sigma 10mm FE and it's f/2.8 so it's faster which is nice. Also primes tend to be sharper than zooms so why not get the prime?
You'll love it though. I love mine!

yeah, I know what you're saying, but my point is with the FE, you really should zoom with your feet anyway. The effect just gets lost when you crop or zoom to 17mm from what I've seen... Sure it's not always possible, but to save money AND get f/2.8? Not much of a descision IMHO.

To be honest f/2.8 isn't a big selling point for me as far as fisheyes go... but either way, that's an interesting decision to face. I have no idea how the 10-17 performs but I could see it sometimes coming in handy.
