    Default  Henrys

    Hey all,

Anyone here has any experience buying from Henrys?

Right now, Henrys is offerring an XTi w/ 18-55mm lens for $712 new, with taxes and discounts.

And Henrys used department is selling a 'slightly used' one for $518.

The deal seems awesome, except I'm still new when it comes to SLRs, so I'm not sure if I should go with the used one or not. According to their website, the condition is decribed as: 90-99% of original finish. Used very little, but obviously used. No major marring of the finish or brassing. Optics perfect. Mechanics perfect.

I don't know anything about Henry's, but compare their prices with KEH.com, which is a reputable used dealer.

frankly i think if you DON'T buy a used DSLR body you're throwing perfectly good glass money away.

    by waiting 3 years i got a >$1500 camera for <$450.

although i haven't any 1st hand experience with henry's, they seem to have been around a while and their rep is pretty good. check into their return policy, and if it seems reasonable, take a shot.
