I had never even thought about this before but it really is brilliant. I don't have the money to buy things now but I've toyed with at and have seen significant discounts on bodies and lenses over the last few days. Wish I had known about this trick sooner!

Thanks for posting the other link, didn't know you had to be registered.

Looking at my deals today I can save $40 on a canon 28mm f1.8..

My next purchase is probably going to be a 10-22 however.

For the 10-22 in the gold box - say you have the lens hood and it might pop up the 10-22. I would only do it when you are ready to buy tho, incase it doesnt show up again.

Ahh the gold box method. I did that to pick a xbox 360 for cheaper. It works. First thing to do is look at what's currently associated with it. Typically the "buy this and the other item" together works best. Create your new account and add the associated item. Goto quick picks. Works like a charm.

New accounts work best since you can try several times in one day. Just use disposable email address. I set them up after the fact at my domain so I would get the confirmation, etc.

Pretty good idea. I never knew there was a way of letting them know what other things you own. Now maybe I'll see more in my Gold Box than books on photography, engine blueprinting, and dog training.

I didn't go crazy... I just added my photography gear, and the Wii. I figured if I selected that I own a 77mm UV filter, that would set me up for some good lenses.
